In the line of things...

and in the line of things...
don't progret Forgez... erm... Don't forget Progrez tomorrow on DI prog.
Last month's show featured music that's made the show since 2005.
Tomorrow, well is another story as I'd like to focus on the future releases.
First of all Sagittaire will introduce you to his first album, Sixty, during the first part of the show. It's incredible music, that deserves a lot of credit and respect, although you might find it quite slow. And of course you''ll have your fix of the latest Progrez tunes during the second part.
Drop us a line if you like it!
1 + 1 = 3
24/10/2007 01:34 PM
what's in a name...
well, actually, this is the title track of the upcoming Lolo album, my friends, finally, after several releases...
1+1=3 is a wonderful track in the same vein as "Trance will never die" with a true sense of emotion. You can thank my friend Marnik, for the wonderful artwork too.
I'll post a snippet as soon as I can. Actually, can you tell me what you'd like to hear??
I'm crazy working 24/7 on new material here.
Good news!!!
17/10/2007 01:34 PM
hey peepz,
This part of my agency's previous mailing got sent to everyone in the business, so I thought I'd share that with you, as it's good news:
Busy Studio times for Airwave who's currently producing several albums at the same time. First of all, Sagittaire "Sixty" is close to entire completion. This album will feature a bunch of tracks and a full mix of them that will take the audience to a sixty-minute journey into chill club music. This alongside with the recording of the brand new Airwave Album called "Touareg". There's a huge Story behind this new recording... expect the unexpected soon.
And last but not least, good news from Beatport as Airwave's "Summer turnaround" is officially the most downloaded trance track on the planet's best dance download portal. Laurent would like to thank all of his fans, his family, the y-catch posse, and of course his label Banshee Worx for the very good results obtained with Trilogique in general.
Dance Idol 2007
10/10/2007 01:33 PM
Welcome back!!
Sooooo, I told you that there was another reason for being that quiet. The reason is... THAT F**KING ANNUAL INTERNET WHORING in the last month that drove me crazy with zillions of spam coming from all the dj's you can (or not) expect to do so.
Again, I just want to let you know that I do not approve this kind of Dance Idol and all of the prostitution that comes around it. It IS NOT the world we live in.
So, instead of puking on it again during the vote, I'm doing it now AFTER the closing so no one can again bash me for expecting attention off that.
As long as no single person asking for votes comes with a PROGRAM, a VISION and a strong sense of humanity, the top 10 whores will keep on treating you like sheep, just like dance magazines and event promoters do, with some help of Soda-pizza sponsors, and you won't see me take this positively.
And now, what?? Cheaters being so-called unmasked by dj mag editors?? Hey guys, wake up, it's just like Tour de France, EVERYONE CHEATS in this business, in a way. And among the biggest ones are the biggest cheaters, too. Only, they must be smart enough and don't get caught, or better, rich enough to buy an editor's silence. See what I mean. Because that's the way it is. This whole thing is a mafia.
I hate this community being driven exclusively by hunger for more money all the time, taking the best youngsters and prostituting them so anyone can utilize them, showing them the only way forward is utilize other people themselves.
This is the way we live in, you say. Well, let me tell you something... If you keep on thinking this way, your children will have the feeling that milk was born in cartonboxes.
In a few days I'll post a bit more about this idea. Because I had a serious feeling in the last few months, alongside with my banshee friends.
So, stay tuned, coz I'll BRB.
Silence
06/10/2007 01:33 PM
Dear Friends,
You must have noticed that I'm extremely silent nowadays...
Just this short message to tell you that I don't forget about you at all. I'm currently working extremely hard in the studio on several new releases under many aliases. This leaves me little time to tell you about it. So I gotta keep it short, but I wanted to share some secrets with you.
Touareg, the next Airwave album, will feature a lot of collaborations and influences. The good point about this is that few or either none of those artists are famous in the dance scene.
The concept behind Touareg is strong, and I just want to finish it, whether it takes months or days. This very single time, I want to be selfish with a production for Airwave, and extremely generous when it comes to sharing experience.
I'll post regularly as soon as I have something to say. Just like in a day or two max, because my silence has some others reasons, too.
Take care
Ready for take off... crashhhhhh!!!
15/08/2007 01:31 PM
Hello my friends, and welcome back to channel L (or is it LOL?).
Last weekend saw me experience one of the saddest and also the funniest days of my entire music life.
As many of you know, the Take Off Festival in Estonia, featuring a lot of famous artists, and where I was supposed to play at, was cancelled at the very last minute, which means it got cancelled the same day I arrived!!
On the festival's website, you can read the organisation's public message.
I would like to tell you what happened exactly from my end.
I landed in Tallinn at 3PM local time approximately, and got picked up by a driver as expected, and got driven to my hotel, a very nice one by the way. All of us artists were staying at the same place in the city, a beautiful one.
I had to play at 11pm according to the timetable I was given by my agent, but we had to leave for the festival at 6pm, as requested by the main promoter... and executed by the driver.
So, we got there on time, I saw many other cars arrive at the same time, all drivers with other artists... on an almost empty field. Only THREE stages with no soundsystem and no lights at all!! Although some people were attending, although all shuttle services were up and running... no party at all.
We had to wait at least 3 hours for any news from local people. I can't thank enough my wife who saw on the festival's website that it was about to be cancelled. She called me and gave me that information.
I gotta keep it short, so I cut insignificant details, forgive me....
So we were like up to 20 artists (I won't name them all here, but we were just a LOT, believe me) sitting at the hotel's lobby waiting for the organization's explanation.
And we got the latter, as exposed on their website. Hando, the local promoter dispatching everything regarding us artists, drivers and many other local workers, litterally took everything in hands and faced our anger in order to save at least something.
And omg, the boy did well. Many of us artists were there basically for music and also for a lot of fans. Hando fixed a party at a good local club so our fans had at least something. My colleagues dj's fixed the timetable and we all got to play for those people.
Actually, this was probably a sad moment for us all, artists, but also clubbers, involved in what was supposed to be the biggest event of the year in the area. But playing at this club for the die hard fans, the people that keep the spirit alive, well it's all that mattered to some of us, despite the fact we got in there for probably nothing and despite all the reasons I'd have to show nothing but anger.
Well, sad I am for many of them, but also happy for some of them and also extremely happy that colleagues of mine went for that with a TRUE sense of being part of a community.
Music brings people together and I got the proof it's like that. This last weekend I also got the chance to meet some extremely interesting people, who remain true to themselves too. What I'm doing guys, this is for you and for you only... just spread the good vibe around you, and all the sh... that might happen to you will become a lot more enjoyable, believe me!!
Estonian fans will see me again for sure, with the same spirit and the same wellness, whatever happens next time!
Take care
Laurent

You heard the new teasers on myspace?? Lolo? You might be wondering how and what after I promised "Océan d'étoiles" to be on the next Lolo EP...
Well, that is why, there's not one but TWO Lolo releases to come close to each other. The very first one is just some cool vocal effort, in fact based on another pop track I have made lately, with as the b-side, what you all requested. "Il t'aime" is an ode to the Greater God who made us all, whether you believe it or not. I should post you the link to the poppy mix too, some day, it's great.
The second one is an ode, a claim, a testimony, a concentrate of love for a style of music I've been defending since the very beginning. I didn't make trance, it made me. Trance will never die, although it being extremely unpopular, it's good to claim the right to difference. Trance has had its hype moment, but it wasn't a hype on its own. It's much more than that. I remember seeing John Lennon claiming on TV that Rock'n Roll was dead, ROFL.
Enjoy my friends, lot more to come.
Welcome to the real world
10/06/2007 01:30 PM
Hello my friends,
The need of a new update was urging, and I am finally doing so.
Instead of lying to you (I DO SUCK at lying either), lemme tell you that it was out of lazyness. I was getting tired of this all.
I needed a few weeks to think about it all. This "career" (being a musician is not a career, and it will never be), this business (who said kindergarten??). It was going round in my head. Finally I came back on the ground. What the hell are we doing here?? Is this all that important? Did The Lord send me here to fight someone, something? After all, I just figured I was considering myself as a victim by default. So, time for a spring cleaning, right before the following events:
June 11th Laser Keratectomy (not too important for you though LOL)
June 16th Club Exit, Lithuania => be there guys, this will be the VERY FIRST new live set
June 21st Tranceload/Fête de la musique, Nice, France
July 7th Intuition Summer Event, Bloemendaal aan Zee, NL
July 28th TOMORROWLAND@ BOOM, BELGIUM
More Gigs to confirm in August.
It was extremely important making this huge mind-cleaning thing before starting out a brand new Airwave album... as indeed, I'm about to start recording it. I can't tell you more about this right now, it's too early to talk about the concept, but keep this name in mind:
====> Touareg
Also, I want to clean the mess before the gigs, I want you guys to see me push boundaries, give only the best of myself away, NOT 90% of it, I want to go at maximum risk for the love of music, of people, because after all we are nothing but animals with a brain, well for some of us LOL.
This negativity period I have been through lately is just ridiculous, and probably the consequence of my semi-bad health. My apologies, it's childish, but soooo human. I'm not pretending to be a hero, a saver, or a superstar, whatever. I just want to enjoy living and let you enjoy it with me.
I took all conclusions, I know what to change, and now this is with a fresh head that I can go on.
Is the bottle half-full or half-empty?
24/04/2007 01:29 PM
hey my friends,
Sorry for not being as talkative as I tend to be...
I have terrible news and terrific one as well...
Lemme begin with the terrific news then.
LOLO is on the way, it was about time. I figured most of you wanted to have "Ocean d'etoiles" see the light of day, so... here it comes as the b-side of another vocal track... I won't tell you more now, you will have to wait first, hehehe
Secondly, I'm so glad many of you guys like the newest planisphere stuff so much!! For such selfish and difficult music, it's always welcome!!! Thanks to you all.
Trilogique Time my friends!! Will be out next week featuring a BUNCH of great remixes. You will have to choose which ones you like the most, for my part I love ALL OF THEM.
Now the sad news, and I feel really bad telling you that, I might be not responding at all for a few weeks from now on, which doesn't mean I don't read your messages and e-mails. Again, it's an eye infection, again it hurts, again I'm one-eyed, and this time it's so bad that I'm almost considered as a viewing impaired. I can't watch things normally, and the pain is unbearable. Worse, the doctors discovered I've been given the wrong treatment for months... which led to a severe Recurrent Corneal Erosion a k a RCE. So, I should get a laser treatment next month, but I'm unsure about the results, which might lead me to the operating table for a corneal transplant.
This hopefully won't affect my gigs schedule, and I promise my Turkish friends I'll be there up and running whatever happens, as I've been waiting so long for coming back to your country! Besides that, everything has slown down here, including my workflow.
I hope you won't mind, though, it really really hurts, and I need to give my vision some rest. But I just wanted to let you know...
Take care my friends
See you in a (hopefully very) short while
Laurent
Flash update
03/04/2007 01:28 PM
Hey guys!!
Welcome back!!
Just this short message to give you some updates.
First of all, TRILOGIQUE REMIXES EP will be out on April 24th, featuring 9 different mixes from in-house artists. I can't thank those guys enough for this incredible job, and this before the deadline. You won't regret it, my friends. So I just uploaded 4 mixes I like much on myspace, and you can check them all here on my website!!!
Secondly, time for an update about my gigs. Last week saw me play for a Belgian team based on the BeTA's (Belgian Tranceaddict community), and most of you don't know what they've been missing!!
This month will see me perform in Ankara, Turkey for the second time, alongside with my colleague and strong partner Joop, for an exclusive event. Orcan, m8, you ROCK!!!
And finally, you must have read something about it yet, Tomorrowland is on the way!!! I'll be performing a TWO HOUR LIVESET for your eyes and ears only, alongside with other Banshee Artists. Expect a HUGE SET OF MINE OR NOTHING!!!!
More gig news to come, but I'll wait until I get confirmation of them all.
This year's just begun, and it feels like it's going to be EXTREMELY busy.
Stay tuned!!
Take care guys
Laurent
Two weeks off
09/03/2007 01:28 PM
Hello everyone,
I couldn't go on a well deserved holiday without leaving a message to all of you.
You're far more important to me than you might think. Reading your messages, posts, critics also, is fundamental!
Planisphere's Solarism is out in 3 versions, and I hope you like it as much as I do. And if not, well I'm cool with it too!!
So, this is gonna be a long post (again!) as I need your advice about some things I've been thinking about lately:
There was a very interesting thread on the TA-Fr forum this week: where will trance be next year?? Where is it going to?? It's definitely not the question I want you to think about. I posted in that thread, and I'm very proud saying that no matter what you do, as long as you do it with heart and passion. I think YOU all guys and girls make the sound as it should be, and you shouldn't let others set the trend for you.
Dj's whoring all the time with newsletters, spam, and all that voting-robot-stuff for the dj mag and other polls while they do NOTHING for the music but just for themselves (and their al capone-like agents fucking the business with that exclusive behaviour; e.g by threatening promoters to cancel their popstar dj if another artist comes the same night) , not only proves that the apple is full of worms, but also proves how lazy we have become. We just get fed like animals in an industrial farm, and we don't care, until the situation gets bad, of course!!
So, my point was that everyone should make music and show what he/she wants to hear. You might think it would lead to generic music, but I honestly think the opposite. You know why? Because it would be a lot more natural. You just do what you want because you like it, and no matter what people think about you, it's just your thing, if people stick to it, cool, if not, cool as well. And I'm sure that so-called generic sound will fade out through time.
This majority, and so-called democracy thing makes me sick because at the very end it's nothing but manipulation after all. I'd never let anyone or anything like advertise-whores choose for me how I should sound like, what I should do as a job, how I'd call my kids, what fruits to get. That trademark thing "as seen on TV" is just so much full of shit nowadays. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT!
So this is my question: would you like more shameless people trying to make music, make some money as well, and work hard out of passion for an art?? I do, now it's your turn to tell me

I want ashamed people to show who they are, and I want arrogant ones to get a lot more humble because at the end of the day, we just live and die here. Nothing's important but the fact we never should regret anything in our lives, and after all, this is a very important duty too, let's give our children this wonderful legacy: Let the Different One inside any human being Grow, as it will make ALL of us Better!!
Take care my friends
See you in two weeks
Flight mode is on
14/02/2007 01:28 PM
Hello my friends!! Hope all is well in your life!!
First of all I have good news, as I have started recovering of my herpectic disease. Thanks to Zo***ax!! That said, the recovery might be partial, and I might suffer this state once in a while for the rest of my life. Time will tell, but I am confident, and honestly if it's a lot more bearable as it is today, it's a quite "small deal".
So you may wonder, what have we been doing lately?
First of all, we fixed EVERY single detail regarding the Solarism release, the album has been out since yesterday, please, check it out, and feel free to send your comments and reviews!!
Secondly, I told you about the hybrid version in my last post, well, it's about time to tell you more about these two versions.
Solarism contains 11 chilly tracks, for some of them extremely playable at clubs, nonetheless!! I think here about Trigger Escape, Tokyo Skyscraper, or No sugar added, and of course the mighty 6/4 beat-driven Solarism track. The latter comes in a 12 mnute version, and this is the kind of tracks, alongside with Nothing's slave (a 7/4 time signature), that I'm extremely proud of.
Breaking the barrier of 4/4 wasn't easy, and a 6/4 you can still play at a club might be hard to imagine, but bizarrely, Solarism just came to me more than I had to reach it, see what I mean. Same goes for every single track on Solarism in fact.
SO, What about the Hybrid edition, what is it??
Well, let me tell you the story behind this one, it's incredible how life can be grateful at times for some of us (and I DO feel lucky!!).
First I wanted to make a mixed version alongside with the full length release, so people in search of mixes could also find something in there.
Then, the idea came of doing something longer than a 74 minute cd, as you all know, Solarism full is almost 100 minutes long... So Marnik (my partner for Antidote), had that good idea of doing a 120 minute mix.
I was scared and felt really DUMB, how could I put 100 minutes of music in a mix of 120 minutes???. That's how the best part of this story begins...
I thought I could make some extra tracks, Simplified is a good example!! simple and effective
I thought I could adapt some parts of the Solarism tracks to fit this version and be a little different... Well out of the 17 tracks used, only 2 of them are in their original mix, all others are reworks. What Nothing's slave and Solarism in a 4/4?? Yes, but again, so far from the huge reality...
I mashed up to three tracks to get simply one, tokyo skyscraper meets trigger escape, or some others, and this mix is FULL of surprises, as some of them are unpredictable, unexpected, and go well beyond what I wanted.
I also figured it could be a good idea to "rework" some of my previous tracks, and that's how you get So Many Other Ways, or Lick-tro-Phonic, and again, some others, you gotta check this one as soon as it's out dudes!!
And There's One more Thing:
It took me 6 days to finish this mix, and you know why?
Taht because ALL MIXES, TRACKS, REWORKS, MASHUPS, WERE DONE ON THE FLY. Nothing was programmed in advance, I just opened my sequencer and went on with new and older parts every single day, my Ableton contained almost 200 Stereo Tracks of Processed and Frozen/flattened parts. I was totally improvizing and producing this mix as if it was one single track.
I'm extremely proud of this achievement and this gives me a TON of ideas of concepts for the next years to come.
That's one hell of a story, isn't it?
Well that's how life rewards me for hard working. That what makes it beautiful to me. Thank god I was born 29 years ago, and again Thank God because, I had the chance to lead an incredible life.
So Flight mode is ON, flying where? I don't know... but it's one hell of a flight!!
Take care
Laurent

Helloooooooooo!!
How's everyone feeling??
You must be getting ready to hear Solarism... Well, I can't wait to collect your comments!!!
There's a lot more than you might think, in fact...
I just spent the last 7 days putting something together, for your ears only, based on Solarism and Planisphere in general. And honestly, I think you will fall off your chair. What I've just achieved may be described as a dream come true for many musicians. One of my biggest achievements so far...
Just as Sam Fisher in a well-known game, I've been operating extremely silently, leaving almost no trace behind my back LOL.
More info about this really soon, alongside with some info regarding gigs, and I can already tell the summer looks extremely hot for me, for us, and for YOU!!
Some big events coming up, so, GET READY FOR TAKE OFF!!!!!
Take care
Laurent
I'm terribly sorry guys
27/01/2007 01:27 PM
Yo everyone. I need to send you all my apologies for rarely responding (or even not at all) to e-mails, messages, comments, and finally writing here.
You need to know that my eye-disease ain't getting better, it's getting even worse, which keeps me away from any kind of computer screen. Yesterday's been like screaming all day and all nite too. If you want to know what it is, google for "herpetic keratitis". I'm just going from doctor to hospital nowadays...
So I needed to keep the time I had behind to screen to prepare my shows, including the one I am going to give away tonight in Leeds, for Gatecrasher Classics. Of course Progrez will be on air next wednesday on di prog!!
I hope to see you all uk fans!! If all is going well, it's gonna be MINT!
I promise you all I will get back to you more often as soon as I can. But this situation is getting unbearable, and except for the urgent matters, don't be surprised you don't get any kind of answer from my part. And this is everyone's concern, not only my dearest fans, but also all people doing business with me/us.
I'm sure you understand the situation, though.
I will come back with excellent news soon, regarding the new lolo track, and some others!!!
Take care my friends
Laurent
Here we go again!!!
10/01/2007 01:27 PM
Welcome my friends, long time no see, but you know why I think. Been incredibly busy between -mas and NYE and needed a break for a few days. Plus, the one-eyed situation is far from over unfortunately. But it's still bearable for now, so let's talk about something POSITIVE!
First of all, thanks for checking the new teasers on myspace and on this site of SOLARISM, the brand new Planisphere album, due out next month.
I hope many of you will enjoy this album. It features lots of my own roots in electronica. You know, there was something before Detroit and Chicago, A... and T...o, before Depeche Mode got big, back in the 70's...
As many of you got literally gutted of the fact that Trilogique was mixed and slightly shortened, in order to fit the 74 minute cd limit (and NOT 80 MINS DUDES, IT'S NO CDR WE ARE TALKING ABOUT), I decided that ALL SOLARISM TRACKS WILL BE UNCUT AND UNFADED, AND THEREFORE WON'T BE AVAILABLE ON CD AT PRESENT TIME, ONLY AS A DOWNLOAD.
And I'm really cool with it... That 74 minute limit on pressed cd's always made me sick. Although I like mixed albums for their lack of blanks, I admit...
So what is next?? There so much yet to come, such as the latest Dj Fire production, "Let the joy rise", the brand new Cape Town "Percivalesque", the next Lolo release featuring "Ocean d'etoiles" as many of you requested it, plus this Solarism album, plus some re-releases of my backcatalog on download platforms, plus the progrez show that partly gets on sale...
Ah there's this remix of DPP's "Conundrum" that I made in 55 minutes the other day, it's a very good one!! For your ears only, and out really soon.
Ah, and I'm working on some Antidote with Marnik, the first tracks is already done, and it's WOWZERZ, the second track just needs a few adjustments.
Oh, and by the way, I'm currently remixing an Airwave Trilotrack for the next single... WHAT AGAIN A REMIX?? BOAH... Well think again, as you don't expect that one to get a remix, really...
Well, you deserved one hell of an update, and I'll never say it enough, peepz, thanks for your messages, your support, your signs of sympathy, of joy, of LOVE for what we all are in.... Keep them comin as well!!!
Cya here or on myspace soon!!
Take care
Laurent
